Janann Holt

Executive Director

 

Janann Brings over 30 years of experience to Discovery Village Deerwood. A trusted and accomplished leader in Senior Living and Senior Health Care, she has been recognized by Florida Senior Living Association as Executive Director of the Year in 2016 and was awarded the FSLA (Florida Senior Living Association) Leadership Award in 2021. She served on the Board of Directors for Florida Senior Living Association for five years. She is known in the industry for her strong leadership and team building skills and collaborative initiatives with other industry leaders. Janann began her career in healthcare as an intake coordinator in the Emergency Department, with the goal of becoming a Hospital Administrator someday. The excitement of the emergency department led her in a different direction. She became an emergency medical technician, working the night shift in the Emergency Department while attending nursing school, she worked as a nurse on a step-down progressive care unit in a hospital, she was a supervisor in a long-term care dementia unit; and worked for years in the home care industry before she found her niche in Assisted Living. Janann has three children and two fur babies; she is a Floridian and enjoys swimming, golfing, and reading.

Director of Sales and Marketing

 

Michele was born and raised in a small town in Ohio, where she embraced the warmth and values of heartland living. After spending seven enriching years in Florida, she has developed a deep appreciation for its vibrant community and outdoor lifestyle.
 
Family is at the heart of Michele’s life. She cherishes her fiancé, son, daughter-in-law, and three wonderful grandchildren. Michele finds joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether it’s camping under the stars or hosting backyard barbecues with loved ones.
 
Michele began her career as a Life Enrichment Director before transitioning to a Sales Associate role. She is now the Director of Sales and Marketing at Discovery Village Deerwood. With extensive experience working with families in need, Michele brings a unique perspective to her role. Her journey of helping others revealed her true passion for sales and marketing, where she excels at connecting families with the quality care and support they deserve.
